H&SSR ENGINEER - Keynsham
Salary £24,500 – £32,950   dependent upon experience and qualifications

The Submarine Support Management Group (SSMG) Design Services Group (DSG) provides multi-disciplinary professional and technical support to the MoD submarine platform Design Authorities for all in-service Royal Navy submarines.

Based in Keynsham, Bristol, the Hull & Systems Surveillance Requirement Engineer reports to the Surveillance Team Leader and is responsible for carrying out review and scheduling of Hull and Systems Surveillance Requirements on behalf of the Constructive, Propulsion an Ship Systems Design Authorities ensuring that each H&SSR work package is produced to the requisite detail and to programme.

The post holder will also provide support to the customer and repair authority on a day-to-day basis, for maintenance and operational problems associated with surveillance and repair issues.

Ideally educated to HNC level with suitable submarine support experience, the post holder should have a strong understanding of submarine systems/layout and a familiarity with the waterfront support environment. Good oral and written communication skills, combined with the ability to liaise with internal and external customers.
